Living together
–
being there for each other!

The senior and nursing home “Haus am Hirtenbach” was opened in 1995 by the private owner Marita Häusler with 83 care places.
Due to high demand and the opportunity to acquire the adjacent property, the north side of the senior and nursing home was expanded in 1999 and opened in 2000 with nine additional care places.
With the opening of the new building, in addition to nine further care places, a café, a kiosk, guest rooms, administrative offices, a teaching kitchen with an adjacent lounge (“library room”), and storage rooms were added.

“Living together, being there for each other”
1. What do we want to achieve with our care?
We guarantee medical and nursing care for our residents within the framework of modern care based on the latest nursing science findings. We consistently implement our care concept. We motivate our residents to be self-active and promote and maintain their ability to be independent. Our goal is fast and competent care in nursing and illness situations. We take into account the individual wishes of our residents. We ensure good general health and standards-based basic care while preserving the privacy of our residents. All treatment care measures are carried out professionally according to medical instructions. We direct our efforts towards maintaining the home and serve as role models for others through our behavior. We create a home for our residents.
2. What do we want to accomplish with our nursing care
?
We strive for satisfied residents in a family-like atmosphere. We provide security not only in cases of illness, but also preventively through conversation and professional observation. Based on high-quality care and support, we focus on the physical and social needs of our residents. We help to avoid social isolation and loneliness and ensure social integration. Beyond nursing care, we provide a daily structure that meets the desire for contact and social relationships within the home. The members of our staff reference groups look forward to our visits. As adults, we interact with each other in a trusting and respectful manner.
3. What would an elderly person wish for from the staff of our care facility?
The staff of our home have time for each resident. Conversations are held, group games are played, and laughter is shared. There is an open atmosphere and a cooperative, fair working environment in our home. Our home is a place of social comfort and security for elderly people as well as for staff. People are tolerant of each other, and there is a high level of empathy for the concerns of others. Residents can largely maintain their accustomed daily rhythm. Visitors are welcome in the home. Social contacts outside are a natural part of the daily and weekly routine. Residents are respected and attended to, especially during phases of illness, confusion, and forgetfulness. The personality and character of each individual is respected. In cases of illness, our residents receive professional care and support.
